Overview
Weapon is a 2024 Indian superhero film directed by Kugan Chenniappan and produced by M. S. Manjoor under Million Studios. The film stars Rajiv Menon, Tanya Hope, Syed Subhahan, and Rajiv Pillai along with Sathyaraj and Vasanth Ravi. In the film, Agni, a dedicated environmentalist YouTuber, searches for a superman named Mithran to shoot and add content for his channel. A journey full of twists and turns that he was not the only one looking for.
The film was officially announced in October 2022 in addition to the official title. Principal photography began the following month. It was primarily shot in Chennai and wrapped by the end of September 2023. Gibran has composed the music, cinematography, and editing by Prabhu Raghav and Gopi Krishnan.
Weapon premiered on June 7, 2024, to mixed reviews from critics.
