Overview
Ratnam (Manikam) is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Hari and co-produced by Stone Bench Films, Zee Studios, and Invenio Origin.
The film stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Yogi Babu, Murali Sharma, Harish Peradi, Mohan Raman and Vijayakumar in the lead roles along with Vishal. This is Vishal and Hari’s third film after Thamirabharani and Poojai.
The film was officially announced in April 2023 with the working title Vishal 34 as it will be Vishal’s 34th film and the official title was announced in December 2023.
Principal photography began in July 2023. It was occasionally filmed in various stages. , filming locations including Thoothukudi, Trichy, Karaikudi, Vellore, Tirupattur, Chennai, and wrapped up by late January 2024. Music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography and cinematography by M. Sukumar and T.S.J.

Music by Devi Sri Prasad for the sixth time with Hari after Aaru (2005), Singam (2010), Vengai (2011), Singam II (2013) and Sami Square (2018); Kanni featuring Vishal. The first song “Warai Rathanam” was released on 1 January 2024. The second single “Why” was released on 29 March 2024. The third single “Baobe En Baobe” was released on 19 April 2024. The last single “Eduvariyo” was released on 24 April 2024. The full soundtrack album was released on 26 April 2024 after the film’s release.
The production house later announced that Aditya Music had acquired the audio rights of the film.
