Lal Salaam Tamil Movie

Lal Salaam (Red Salute) is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language sports action film directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by Subhaskaran Alirajah under Lyca Productions. The film features Rajinikanth in an extended cameo along with Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant, along with a supporting cast of Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeetha, KS Ravikumar and Thambi Ramaiah.

The film was officially announced in November 2022. Principal photography began in March 2023. It was shot in various locations including Chennai, Mumbai, and Pondicherry, and wrapped in early August 2023. AR Rahman is composing the music and Vishnu is providing the cinematography for this film. Editing by Rangasamy, and B. Praveen Baskar.

Laal Salaam will hit the theaters on February 9, 2024. The film received mixed reviews from critics and grossed ₹17 crore against a budget of ₹80–90 crore.

Filming

Principal photography began on 7 March 2023 in Chennai, while Mehrut Puja took place in December 2022. The first schedule was completed in Chennai in April. The second schedule started in Mumbai in May. Rajinikanth has joined this month’s schedule.

Former cricketer Kapil Dev also joined the schedule in the same month. In June, we moved the team to Pondicherry.] By July 12, Rajinikanth finished his part. The film crew completed the second scheduled shooting in July.

Vishnu also ended his share by August 5. Principal photography was completed by 7 August. A hard disk containing 21 days of footage disappeared during post-production works and, unable to reshoot all the missing scenes, the team reshot only a few and included them in the final cut.

Music

The film’s score and soundtrack were composed by AR Rahman in his first film collaboration with Aishwarya Rajinikanth.

In November 2023, it was announced that Sony Music India had acquired the audio rights of the film. The first single “Ther Thiruvija” was released on 18 December 2023. The second single “Ae Pulla” sung by Sid Sriram was released on 15 January 2024 on the occasion of Pongal. However, Sid Sriram replaced Nicole Abhyankar in the film version of the song.

Rahman revealed that a song in the film titled “Tamiri Yazuda” sung using the voices of late singers Bomba Bakia and Shah Hameed was made possible by artificial intelligence technology, making it the first Indian song to recreate a dead singer. Voice

The audio launch was held on 26 January 2024 at Sri Leo Muthu Indoor Stadium.
