Indian 2 (Indian 2: Zero Tolerance) is a B. Jayamohan, Kapilan Vairamuthu, and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar co-wrote the screenplay with S. 2024 Indian Tamil language awareness action film directed by Shankar. The film is jointly produced by Laika Productions and Red Giant Movies. It is the second installment of the Indian film series and a sequel to Indian (1996).

Siddharth, S.J. Kamal Haasan reprises his role as Senapati, an elderly freedom fighter who becomes an anti-corruption vigilante, alongside Suriya, Rahul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Nedumudi Venu, Kalidas Jayaram, Samuthirakani and Manobala. , Gulshan Grover, Brahmanandam, Jagan, Guru Somasundaram and Deepa Shankar. In the film, Senapati returns to India after more than two decades abroad and helps a team deal with corruption in the country.

The project was announced in September 2017. Sri Venkateswara Creations was originally on board but withdrew after a month. After that Leica went into production. Indian 2: Music

Anirudh Ravichander, working with Shankar for the first time, has composed the soundtrack album and background score. It is Anirudh’s second film with Haasan after Vikram, replacing Shankar’s frequent collaborator A. R. Rahman, who composed the soundtrack for the 1996 film. After the offer came in November 2017, Anirudh started composing the songs in December 2017 and it took a year to complete the album. He commented that the delay in the release of version 2.0 gave him more time to work on the film’s songs.

In November 2023, it was announced that Sony Music India had acquired the audio rights of the film. The album was officially released on 1 June 2024, coinciding with a promotional event held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, which was attended by the cast and crew of the film and all the celebrities.
