Venom: The Last Dance English Movie

Venom: The Last Dance is an American superhero film starring the Marvel Comics character Venom. The sequel to Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), and the fifth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU), is written and directed by Kelly Marcel. Tom Hardy stars as Eddie Brock and Venom with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alana Ubach, and Stephen Graham. In the film, Brock and Venom go on the run from their respective worlds.

Hardy revealed in August 2018 that he had signed on to appear in the third and final Venom film, and Sony Pictures began development in December 2021 after the release of the second film. Marcel and Hardy were writing the script as of June 2022, and Marcel made his directorial debut in October. A new cast, including Ejiofor and Temple, joined in mid-2023, and filming began in late June 2023 in Spain. Production was halted the following month due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, resumed in November after the strike ended, and was completed in late February 2024. The title was released a month later.

Principal photography began on June 26, 2023, at Los Mateos and Calplan Regional Park in Cartagena, Spain, with the title Orwell. Fabian Wagner serves as director of photography after serving as an additional cinematographer on Let There Be Carnage. Filming was halted in mid-July 2023 as a result of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Later that month, the film was slated for release on July 12, 2024. When the actor’s strike ended in November 2023, Sony pushed the film’s release back to November 8, 2024, filling the November 2024 date the studio had already set aside for an untitled Marvel film. At the time, production was preparing to resume. Filming resumed on November 16. In February 2024, Clarke Backo joined the cast in an undisclosed role, and by the end of the month, Temple said filming was nearly complete.

Venom: The Last Dance is scheduled for a theatrical release in IMAX and other premium large formats (PLF) on October 25, 2024, in the United States by Sony Pictures. The film was originally expected to be released in October 2024, before being given a July 12, 2024 release date when Sony changed its release schedule due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Following the end of the strike, the film’s release was pushed back to November 8, 2024, which was moved up and back to the October 2024 deadline.

Sony signed deals with Netflix and Disney in April 2021 for the film’s rights from 2022 to 2026, following the film’s home and theatrical media Windows. Netflix has signed on for exclusive “pay window 1” streaming rights, which is typically an 18-month window and includes future Venom movies after Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Disney has signed on for “pay2windows” rights to Disney movies, which will stream on Disney+ and Hulu, and Disney’s linear TV networks.
